Bill MacKenzie to Speak at Celebrate Tualatin

The Tualatin Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Bill MacKenzie, Communications Manager for Intel Texas and Intel Oregon, will be the speaker at the “Celebrate Tualatin” volunteer recognition dinner on April 17, 2008 at the Tualatin Country Club.  He serves as Intel’s spokesperson with print, broadcast and online media. MacKenzie also directs Intel’s community-oriented advertising in Oregon and Texas.

Bill MacKenzie to Speak at Celebrate Tualatin

 January 29, 2008 (Tualatin, OR) The Tualatin Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Bill MacKenzie, Communications Manager for Intel Texas and Intel Oregon, will be the speaker at the “Celebrate Tualatin” volunteer recognition dinner on April 17, 2008 at the Tualatin Country Club (9145 SW Tualatin Road, Tualatin, OR 97062).  He serves as Intel’s spokesperson with print, broadcast and online media. MacKenzie also directs Intel’s community-oriented advertising in Oregon and Texas.  He came to Intel 11 years ago from The Oregonian, where he worked as a business and politics reporter for 10 years. He previously worked in Washington, D.C. as professional staff on a committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, Senior Policy Analyst and Foreign Affairs officer with the U.S. Department of Commerce and consultant to The Conservation Foundation. MacKenzie has a BA from the University of Denver and graduate degrees from the University of Maine and the University of Rhode Island. Nominations of those that have made a difference in the Tualatin community this past year should be submitted to the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce no later than March 21, 2008.  Award categories include Outstanding Chamber Volunteer, Business Excellence Award, Distinguished Citizen Award, Spirit of Tualatin Award, Outstanding Young Person Award, Commitment to Youth Award and Outstanding Service Award.  In recognition of “Earth Day” the theme of this year’s event is “Going Green”.The event is sponsored by Portland General Electric.
