DETROIT, May 11th, 2008 – WaTunes, the new digital content and social media service, announced its new digital distribution business model. Independent music artists, record labels, digital distributors, aggregators, and social networks are now able to distribute unlimited music and music video contents to over 100 music stores while retaining a 90% revenue share to the artist. WaTunes will charge a one-time $20 setup fee for the service. Major music store retailers such as iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and eMusic are among many of other digital stores that are serviced by WaTunes. “WaTunes’ aim at the digital music industry is to create an innovative way to enable the artists, labels, and distributors to manage their music contents on a global scale. By creating a model that is cost-effective, yet flexible, we make it easy for our customers to distribute their music freely without the hassles of paying upfront costs for their music. It gives them complete freedom of the digital landscape and their music careers.” said Kevin Rivers, Founder and CEO of WaTunes. About WaTunes
