Intervurt New Single “Union Square” out June 23rd on Dead Planet Records
“One of the best new bands I’ve worked on since Bowie” - Mark Plati, producer, Prince, The Cure, Bowie"Anthemic, like U2 being attacked by a rabid Rottweiler" - Rocksound
“Love this band” - Janice Long, BBC Radio 2
“This Band is going to be huge” - Chris Hawkins, BBC 6 Music
Following their critically acclaimed debut EP "Translucent", hotly tipped rock quintet Intervurt release their new single "Union Square" on June 23rd on Dead Planet Records. Hailing from London, the band who have already supported The Strokes and The Raconteurs, blend the melody of the Killers and U2 with the richness and darkness of Depeche Mode and Muse, combined with the power of the Queens of The Stone Age.“Union Square” is taken from their forthcoming album which was recorded at Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Lady Studios in New York and produced by Mark Plati (Bowie, Cure, Prince) and Tom McKay (Joydropp). Bringing their dark tinged rock, complete with stadium sized choruses and pummeling riffs to the masses is something the band are excited to do. "We have been influenced by bands like Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails in the way they've had long careers and are constantly evolving" says Paul O’Keeffe (singer).Intervurt intend to spend the rest of 2008 touring and playing festivals before the release of their debut album later this year.
