As the new academic term looms, Ayr College Music Technology and Performing Arts staff are preparing to introduce the first HNC Music course offered by any college in the local area to their students.

Over the last two years the college have been working on expanding their current portfolio, which already includes the highly popular NC Music course.

Curriculum Manager, Michael McHugh said: “We know that there is a huge amount of local talent and potential in Ayrshire and we are very excited to be offering this course. It’s great that our NC students will be able to progress to HNC level within the college. There is a very vibrant local music scene and we hope to be able to add and expand it in the coming years.”
