APPLES FOR EVERYONE TO LAUNCH EPONYMOUS DEBUT ALBUM AT HISTORIC VENUE

London folk-punk band Apples For Everyone will launch their self-titled debut album at the Boston Music Rooms on the evening of 31st July 2008 with support from MJ Hibbett amongst others. The Boston Music Rooms has been host to thousands of bands over the years, but perhaps none as unique as Apples For Everyone. The band has been together since the start of 2007 and consists of no less than fourteen members, playing trumpet, fiddle, flute, clarinet, percussion and a host of other instruments between them.  The band have a strong DIY ethic which lead them to self produce their first album. Much of the album was recorded at the home studio of sound engineer Harv (who plays bass and percussion on some tracks), who was also responsible for production and mastering. Despite the band’s unsigned nature, they have quickly risen to prominence with airplay on London’s XFM radio and plaudits from industry executives and crowds alike. The band are currently through to the regional semi-finals of the national Surface Unsigned music festival, with high hopes for progressing further in the competition. Thursday 31st July sees the band take over the Boston Music Rooms for their album launch night. Alt-folk genius MJ Hibbett will be supporting, along with bands Ghostfire and Invisible Cities. Electro duo Ben and Amy and grime MC LTee will also feature, with late night DJ sets from The Dave, Semiconductor, Yoof and KDF Music. Keyboard player Chris Moffatt notes that “securing MJ Hibbett for the night was a real coup. We’re really looking forward to it. I’m expecting a blinding set from my personal favourites Ben and Amy too”.
