Expat-Singles.com is a brand new dating website, launched on St Valentine's Day 2008 - and it is different to other sites. It's different because it was created with a single audience in mind - Expats. “The idea was born after participating in a discussion on an Expats forum.” reveals Malcolm Wearing, the founder of Expat-Singles “The recurring complaint was that there were no facilities available for Expat singles to find a partner- even online.”
Current Industry trends suggest that the perception of dating websites have changed to such a degree that they are now known to be instrumental in helping find deep, long-lasting relationships. This has been achieved by the honesty of site members when creating a profile - and their potential partner’s profile. Once done and the contact begins, they build a profound relationship within a secure environment. And, because they are already communicating with people that fit their requirements, out of those that meet for the first time, 94% went on to see each other again - an amazing success rate.
The online dating scene is a very competitive market and customers rightly expect a good deal and professional service. With Expat-specific dating websites being pretty much non-existent, Expat-Singles.com seems to be the answer to a much sought-after service. Sarah Foulkes, the Expat-Singles Operations Manager underlined this when she commented “We measure how well we get it right by the number of users that visit and then register on our site – the success of our launch just blew us away with the number of Expats joining”.
Websites can produce communities that help and support less confident members and the Forum section on Expat-Singles does just that. It’s not just for singles chatting to singles, its also an important facility to give feedback about the site and how the owners can improve by listening to suggestions of the people who matter – the users. “Expat-Singles.com has not only refined its quick and easy registration process, but we have also made it free!” reveals Ms Foulkes, she also adds, “We take great pride in the fact that we listen to and debate all our customers suggestions. As a result we will continue to refine our dating website, products and services to meet their needs, now and in the future.”
Exploring the site, it does indeed look as though Expat-Singles have expertly responded to a need with their hands-on, customer-focussed approach. However, it is important to note that the site does not only cater for Expats, as anyone can use the site – and that includes foreign nationals looking for a partner too.
At the end of the day it is down to the individual to make any relationship work but, if you just find it difficult to meet people, this is a really good place to start. Expat-Singles.com website, as a medium, is a quick, easy and convenient way of meeting like-minded people.
