The modular structure of the solution developed by iSoft enables the tracking of a patient’s medical database across the departments within a hospital as well as across hospitals.
iSoft a part of IBA Health Group, opened its new global product development facility in Bangalore on Thursday, September 25, 2008. The facility was opened by the Australian Consul-General and Trade Commissioner for South India, Aminur Rahman. The iSoft, Executive Chairman and CEO, Mr. Gary Cohen said the new facility was not “just another offshore development center.” He also added that “this is not just a product, but is a system of assembling information that facilitates seamless movement of a patient’s data base within and across hospitals, wherever he/she goes.” The modular structure of the solution developed by iSoft enables the tracking of a patient’s medical database across the departments within a hospital as well as across hospitals. iSoft’s healthcare solution, Lorenzo, is being deployed in a $21 billion project developed for the National Health Services in the United Kingdom.
