Mobile diagnostics is a rapidly growing business providing high-quality MRI scans for NHS, and private patients.

The latest low field technology is employed and all scans are obtained with an open MRI scanner.  This enables scans to be obtained without the problems of the claustrophobia and movement which may be a feature of the traditional high field, tunnel scanner.

Scans are affordable (£250 for non insured patients). This allows patients to obtain access to accurate diagnostic imaging and the chance to make an informed decision as to the optimum treatment.

Many patients come for MRI scans of the knee in order to find out the cause of pain, locking or stiffness of the knee joint.

Other joints commonly examined include the shoulder, wrist and ankle and mobile diagnostics will shortly be able to provide an MRI service for the lumbar spine.

Mobile diagnostics is able to provide a rapid report (often within 24 hours) together with the images on CD or film.  All the scans are reported by specialist musculoskeletal consultant radiologists.

Mobile diagnostics is now scanning on a regular weekly basis at the Highgate Hospital, in Highgate N6.
