A recent study, published in the August issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings, compared the safety ordering medication to treat erectile dysfunction via online prescribing versus traditional physical consultation. The results of the study showed that, in most of the safety variables tested, the online system outperformed the traditional system. The e-medicine system was found to excel in patient education. The study noted that written product information was provided to 100% of the e-medicine clients, and that customized messages were delivered to 75% of these e-medicine clients. For those patients in the study who received traditional physician consultation, only 48% received written product information. The study was supported by the University of Utah Clinical Cardiovascular Pharmacology Program. The original article can be found at the Mayo Clinic. Not all online pharmacies safely prescribe prescription medications. The FDA has warned consumers for years the dangers of ordering medications online. Consumers should be cautious of where the pharmacy is located, and if they are prescribing the authentic medications from the manufacturers. AccessRx.com, an online pharmacy that has been serving patients for ten years, is a prime example of a quality e-medicine provider. For a decade, AccessRx.com has been an online provider of prescription medications, including erectile dysfunction medications like Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis. AccessRx.com prides itself on giving the highest priority to the safety and needs of the patient. Only carrying FDA-approved medications and using IDology age and address verification service are just a couple of ways AccessRx.com puts patient safety first. With the recent addition of a Health Articles section on its website, AccessRx.com continues to provide patients with as much information as possible regarding specific medications, as well as health in general.
