Consumer and industry news site Glass News has reached the half century in terms of the number of breaking glass news stories covered since its mid-February launch.
A total of 31 articles were covered by Glass News (http://www.glassnews.co.uk/) during February - despite the site only officially launching on the 18th of the month. Now, one week into March, the total number of articles available in the site's archives has passed the 50 mark, covering a wide range of different topics including the LCD display market, photovoltaic solar panels, decorative glassware, industry news and more. The 51st article, published on March 8th, takes a lighter view of the world's glass-related events as the third instalment in Glass News' series of Weekend Editions. Editor-in-Chief of Glass News Bobble Bardsley says: "When we launched the site we pledged to cover only high-level news direct from the relevant companies. Apart from our Weekend Editions, that is what we have done, and we continue to give our readers the full range of information available. "March has been an exciting month for the industry so far with the publication of three reports by Research and Markets, and Glass News is on track to add a further 100 articles to our archives by the end of the month." The site continues to operate on an xml structure, meaning the breaking news page itself can be added to any newsreader and new articles picked up without the need to visit the site's index. Since its launch, Glass News has also been in contact with a number of major industry names who have promised to let us know of any breaking news from their subsidiaries, helping us to get the facts over to the reader even faster.
