With new tools, the scope of affiliate marketing is getting better and better. The small video skits or vignettes can be the ideal ones for fastening the attentions of the users who have few minutes to spend on a site.

The tools used in affiliate marketing, online advertising and web promotions are multiplying and becoming more and more sophisticated. One of the latest tools are the viral-videos (viral here does not refer to computer virus that damages the programs or PC health). These mind boggling and awe inspiring videos have caught the attention of almost every one in the industry.

 

According to a small survey, a video ad used for promoting the merchants products was found to be four times more effective than a graphical presentation. After widgets, video are the next to receive the focus. Some affiliate companies have already started utilizing the tools. They are called as vignettes and are provided as small skits of half a minute, a minute or a couple of minutes.

 

Viral videos are small video clips that can spread over networks by people sharing the links. Human interest seems to be the beat of all virus videos. The video presentation has elements that grab the attention of the audience. In the backdrop or in the background some message about the merchant is given. These videos serve best for brand exposure.

 

Affiliate marketers have also started demanding video content from the merchants and at times even produced the content for them. However, affiliates based in India have expressed their reluctance for local clients. The slow speed obviously seems to be the major concern.

 

A large number of unique visitors are scanners and spend few seconds on a web site. Slow speed or complicate designs or tools hardly lets them check the content. That is where images and graphics serve the best.

 

One can say to a good degree that viral-videos and graphics have their own importance. Viral videos or videos in general can be used to target users that have time to check the contents on the affiliate sites. Images and graphics would be ideal for people running from site to site. They cannot replace one another and are likely to stay with the affiliate marketer for the time being.
