UK sanitising specialist Radical has developed a unique range of odour control products which uses advanced oxidation technology to remove odours. The innovative range of products from sanitising specialists Radical uses advanced oxidation techniques to remove odours completely without the need for harmful chemicals or expensive charcoal-based filters. The odour control system is based on the company’s advanced oxidation technology where both a specially produced water vapour and ozone is continually injected into the chimney or ducting which combines to produce a cascade of free radicals. The free radicals immediately react with the bacteria and organics which carry the odour and neutralize all bad smells and aggressive odours. Peter Townley, managing director at Radical said: “The beauty of our odour control system is its simplicity. Thanks to the advancements we have made with our other advanced oxidation systems we can now deliver a cost-effective and efficient odour neutralising system for the food industry. “The main benefit of the Radical system is that it is extremely effective against all production odours, whereas other systems only remove certain odours. Our system is much more cost effective than traditional methods as the only running costs once installed are water and electricity.” Unlike the charcoal based systems currently being used by most food manufacturers in the UK, the Radical system remains continually effective. So while other systems which provide a physical barrier quickly get clogged up and less effective this system continues to neutralize odours at maximum efficiency.
