Attorneys at Rosen say parents feuding over summer vacation burden children with unnecessary guilt over letting one parent down.

“A lot of parents chose to make summer vacation a problem when it doesn’t have to be,” says Rosen. “Many times they’re using the scheduling of the vacation to create a situation so there’s engagement with the other parent because of unresolved issues in their relationship, but in the end it’s the children who suffer.”
