CHILDREN'S INTERNATIONAL OBESITY FOUNDATION APPOINTS GOLDBERG, KOVITZ TO BOARD |

New York, NY - July 23, 2008 - Robert Hinnen, Chief Operating Officer of Children’s International Obesity Foundation (CIOF) announced this morning that Jay D. Goldberg and Adam J. Kovitz had been appointed to CIOF's Board of Advisors. "These two gentlemen bring some excellent experience and new abilities to our Board. In order to accomplish our mission, we need a highly-diversified set of skills in those special individuals whom we choose to serve as Advisors," Hinnen said. Douglas Castle, Senior Advisor to CIOF'S Board of Trustees, added, "These gentlemen are not only persons of accomplishment, but they are both humanitarians with a sincere interest in the future of our planet. At CIOF, we understand that the future will ultimately be in the hands of this next generation or children. I look forward to the contributions of both of these to CIOF, and to the application of their unique abilities to the growing problem of childhood overweight and obesity." Mr. Goldberg is a former banking executive who recently published a book for persons entering or re-entering the employment market, titled "HOW TO GET, KEEP AND BE WELL PAID IN A JOB" (Outskirts Press, Denver, CO.). The book is receiving critical acclaim. Mr. Kovitz is the publisher of THE NATIONAL NETWORKER, an online publication with a substantial readership. Mr. Kovitz is best known for his popularizing of the notion of "Relationship Capital." ABOUT CHILDREN’S INTERNATIONAL OBESITY FOUNDATION (“CIOF”) – CIOF is an approved IRS Section 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public foundation and charity whose international mission it is to eliminate dangerous overweight and obesity in children and teens through prediction, prevention, support and treatment.
