Sources close to Private Equity Placement say the wealth management concern is expecting the mining sector to demonstrate “fantastic upside potential” following the recent, broad-based sell-off in commodities.

“Some very well-run, very well capitalized miners have seen their share values halved in the last three weeks and, consequently present the investor with excellent ground level opportunities”, said the Private Equity Placement source.

As the US dollar has strengthened in the last few weeks, precious and base metals have seen their values decline. This decline has been mirrored in the prices of shares in mining companies which, believe Private Equity Placement, are likely to rebound quickly.
