Dirty Red Widgets

If you enter the search phrase "dirty blue widgets" into Google you will see many links related to this phrase. But what exactly is a dirty blue widget?!? Well, the term is actually the brainchild of two trainers from the recently opened "The Affiliate Academy" which is an extensive online training center for people wanting to learn how to make money online.

Yet again, I hear you ask....ok...But what the heck is a dirty blue widget? It all has to do with a new contest that the academy is running for its members to see who has the best SEO (search engine optimization (the ability to get your website to # in Google)) skills. Actually, there are two contests, one for beginners with a $1000 prize and one for the more advanced members with $1500 awarded to the winner. Each entrant must buy a new domain name and using only "white hat" (legal and non-spammy) techniques get their website as high as possible on the Google search engine for specific predecided keyword phrases.

There is also another rule which makes it even trickier for the contestants and that is that the new domains cannot contain the keyword phrases for which they are trying to rank. This brings us nicely to the point. The advanced members are trying to rank highly for the keyword phrase "dirty blue widgets" and the beginners are trying to rank for "clean red widgets". The tournament started on 10th of November and will end in the middle of January so the contestants really have their work cut out to achieve their goals. Luckily, they are receiving the best training in every aspect of internet marketing at the affiliate academy, so this makes the task somewhat easier.
