Written by Tom Cox

Enlightenment is the debut novel from author Thomas Cox from West Sussex. It's classified as Science Fiction / Humour and the first edition is now available online at Amazon and all good shops, before being released to the high street shops good and bad alike.

Enlightenment

The Book

Trevor, being a little eccentric and mentally unstable, thought that he could reach inner peace and enlightenment if only he tried a little harder...

Trevor works in IT, a bit of a geek, a bit of a loner, aimless, harmless. Little does he know he is the pawn (or perhaps the rook?) in a game of chess played out between Good and Evil. It is a game as old as Time itself, played out on a multitude of different dimensions, in the past, present and future – and all within the course of a week! When Trevor gets an innocent enough spam email entitled ‘Seek Your Enlightenment’ he sets out to do just that, a challenge in his otherwise internet-animated life. Trevor, in all his lives across time, gets more than he bargained for. The Hero, the Devil and Trevor play out an intricate, intertwined and sometime dark plot; but who will win in the end?

The Author

Thomas Cox is a 23 year old optimist from Sussex whose combination of stunning good looks, fantastic hair and a trademark sense of humour have made him into the author he is today. His literacy skills leave none in doubt that without such mastery of the English language he wouldn’t have been able to articulate these coherent self-compliments or “outrageous lies” as they are better known.

The ideas of time travel, dimensional theory and most recently scientific enlightenment have always interested him. Anything that has a quantum drive or can maintain a warp field grips his imagination; especially things involving blue swirly effects and an over-use of glitter.

His writing career begins, like no other, with Enlightenment.
